Meet Eddie Edgerton, Owner-Operator

Pools have been a big part of my life since my early 20s. Always the adrenaline seeker, I rode freestyle BMX for about 15 years, and during that time, I met one of my best friends. He started building pools for a custom pool builder right out of high school. Years later, I got a job building pools with him, and the rest is history—or rather years of learning, gaining experience, and certifying as a licensed pool contractor. 

Now, I put my skills to work as an Owner-Operator. I am involved in everything from working with our team in the field to putting together estimates for repairs. I’m grateful that my family instilled in me that I should always work hard and give my best, and I bring that mindset to Edge Pools. New challenges keep me content, and so I love repairing and troubleshooting pool issues for our clients. I also enjoy meeting and talking to the clients we serve. 

I’m grateful to work alongside my business partner and wife, Heidi, who took to this business like a duck to water! I know I wouldn’t have been able to grow our company without her support and dedication. 

Meet Heidi Edgerton, Owner/Manager

At a young age, I was 100% sure that I would be a firefighter and then a detective, but I switched my major early on and went to business school. It’s a good thing, because apparently I’m claustrophobic, and other parts of both fields might make me pass out! What I never saw coming was being the co-owner of a pool maintenance company. But God’s ways are better than our own, right? 

Eddie and I both grew up with meager means but learned how to independently strive for what we want. I enjoy so many parts of our business, from simply seeing a sparkling, clean pool to knowing we’ve protected someone’s investment to a glass of wine when I close operations for the day! I’m genuinely grateful for the opportunity to serve our clients and their families. 

While Eddie is out in the field with our techs, I’m the voice you’ll probably talk to on the phone, the fingers behind the email, and the face out in the community networking and marketing. I may not be the firefighter I thought I’d be, but I definitely handle putting out my share of fires for our clients!

How do you determine the cost of my recurring services?

Many factors, including your pool size, equipment, and the environment determine your quote. It’s possible that one neighbor’s pool looks like the one down the road, but there is more variability than meets the eye at times. Chemicals are also always included in the price. We promise to assess your pool and the factors surrounding it well, so we can offer the best service package to meet your needs.

Do you require a contract?

No, at Edge Pools, we want you always to be satisfied with our work: We want you to remain with us, because we are doing great work and presently do not require service contracts.

How does Edge Pools handle weather or other issues that may affect my weekly maintenance?

If you’ve lived in Florida for any period of time, you know that our storms can be quite severe and unpredictable with little warning- especially in the spring and summer months. If it’s raining, we can generally continue with scheduled services; however, if it is lightning, we will pause our schedules for quick passing storms or need to reschedule for the safety of our technicians. We will send you an email communication of our plans for rescheduling. If for any other reason, our team should need to reschedule your services, we will be in touch, so you don’t need to worry about no-shows. 

Click this link, and you can easily start the process. We’ve seen and assessed hundreds of pools, so most quotes for maintenance and visible repairs can be done by sending us pictures. For other issues, we can schedule a service call.

How do I get a quote?

What do I receive in every visit?

Every time we service your pool, you can expect an equipment check, surface skimming, vacuuming, water test, chemicals to balance the water, pool brushing, and pump and skimmer basket emptying. In addition, your filter will be cleaned regularly to ensure proper water circulation (we can consult with you about your filter cleaning needs, but weekly filter cleaning is actually harsh and will require replacement sooner than is necessary). Finally, after each visit, you’ll receive a service email update and a picture of your pool after each visit.
